Oct 02, 2004 · Really you are only going to need the wastegate once you get near/over 35 psi boost. That is a sort of "red line" for the HX35 turbo for keeping it all together. For now I wouldn't worry about the wastegate if you are at stock or near stock conditions. I plugged mine off before I got the boost control elbow with the 10 plate.

Jan 03, 2011 · The turbine outlets use the same bolt on flange (unique to Holset) for the WH1c, HX35, and HY35 turbos. The HE341 and HE351 use a 4" v-band outlet. Notice that the HX35/WH1c wastegate hole and puck is smaller. Internal Wastegates: The HY35 models appear to have a cracking issue on their wastegate holes. Notice there are two variants here.

I'm not sure what the turbine wheel is but the housing is 9cm^2 or .48A/R. I've heard full boost can be achieved at 2700RPM on a 1J. I'm curious how this 5958 setup would compare. If the GM-8 makes the 6.5 peppy from lower to mid rpm, but lacks at high rpms, the Hx35 would turn it to a little more laggy low rpm 6.5 but it would be more of a mid to high rpm worker compaired to the GM-8. Might see better economy with the Hx35 though. Bigger isn't always better, and if it ain't broke don't fix it. Isle of bollocks. Under 500bhp and single scroll, 10cm HY35. Above 500bhp or proper twin scroll setup, 12cm HX35. A decent 10cm HY setup has been proven countless times on 1Js and RB25s to hit full boost by 3000rpm (some showing much sooner) and bash out as much as 500bhp, but you'll struggle getting more than that as the turbine wheel and housing won't flow much more on a 2.5ltr.

Generals HE351 is a hybrid between a hx35 and hcx40 I want to keep it stock lactation really just rotate it to the left towards the Master cylinder/Pitchstop vs what everyone elsed does and rotated right towards ABS/PS res .
Single turbos are more efficient and holsets hy35 or HE341 off of the 6.2 liter cummings can be had for really reasonable prices and since they are oil only turbos you'd just have to fab a return at the top of the pan and t off of the oil pressure sender for the feed. Turbos don't need a huge oil supply just a consistent and clean one.

Jan 14, 2015 · The typical HE351VE comp wheels are not even close to work on a 1.9TDI and you would have to spool it up later to avvoid surge. 50mm inducer HX35 comp wheel would be plenty. Flows 46 lbs/min. I have that comp wheel and housing (new, genuine) if you find a HE341VE and want to spool it faster.

It shows in basic measurements like engine vacuum, & why tuners want to know why my engines make -30 inches of vacuum vs. everybody else's fluttery -18 to-20 inches. I am a hardware guy- I leave the software tuning up to the tuners.

The spool speed of the 7blade hx35 is similar to the 8blade hx35 with 20+ psi by 3500rpms in the bolton housing and by 4000rpms with the stock housing with a non-divided manifold. HY35: The hy35 has a smaller turbine wheel than the hx35.
